Merry Patterns Merry Christmas

Hello Stampers!
Christmas is rapidly approaching. I want to share a card we are making in this month's Stamp-a-Stack.  I used the Merry Patterns October promotion hostess set that one can earn for orders/parties that reach $300.

Here are the card details:

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:
  • STAMPS – Merry Patterns (144973-polymer), Playful Backgrounds (141920-polyer)
  • PAPER – Cherry Cobbler (119685), Whisper White (100730), Tranquil Tide (144246)
  • INK – Cherry Cobbler (126966), Tranquil Tide (144085), Old Olive (126953), Daffodil Delight (126944), Tuxedo Black Memento (132708), Versamark (102283)
  • OTHER – Clear block D (118485), Embossing buddy (103083), Gold Embossing Powder (109129), Heat Tool (129053),  Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755) or Snail (104332)

Cutting & Scoring:
  • Cherry Cobbler - 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 4 ¼”, and  2 1/8” x 3 5/8
  • Tranquil Tide – 2 3/8” x 3 7/8
  • Whisper White – 2” x 3 ½” and scrap

Instructions:

  • Use Memento Black to stamp the candles in the center of the Whisper White cardstock. Stamp the candle filler stamps in Cherry Cobbler and Tranquil Tide as shown. Stamp the ‘flames’ in Daffodil Delight.
  • Stamp the candles onto the WW scrap (or a post it note) to make a mask by cutting it out and gently adhering it over the stamped candles.
  • Stamp the pine boughs over the masked candles in Old Olive and Tranquil Tide.  Remove mask.
  • Adhere stamped image onto Cherry Cobbler and then Tranquil Tide cardstock.  Set aside.
  • Rub embossing buddy over the lower half of the card front. Stamp the Sentiment in Versamark then dust with Gold Embossing Powder, tapping off the excess. Heat with heat tool until shiny.
  • Stamp the upper left and lower right corners of the card front with the Playful Backgrounds stamp using Cherry Cobbler.
  • Center and glue down the focal piece. As an alternative, one could use dimensionals.
Icons to order supplies needed to recreate this card.  Would love to hear what you think...

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop - Painted Harvest

Hello Stampers!
Thank you for joining us for this blog hop! Didn't you just love what Carol shared?!?
This is my quick and easy card using the Painted Harvest suite and four punches. Using the punches only is what makes this card so fast to prepare. I hope you like it and will be inspired to purchase this set (and the punches) if you don't already have them...

I am so often in need of a Thank You card.  And, who would not LOVE to get a thank you note for showing kindness towards me (or you)?

Below are the detailed Instructions:

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:
  • STAMPS – Painted Harvest (144783-polymer, 146021-bundle)
  • PAPER – Peekaboo Peach (141417), Early Espresso (119686), Gold Foil Paper (132622), Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP)(144613)
  • INK – Early Espresso (126974)
  • OTHER  - Starburst Punch (143717), 2 ¼” Circle Punch (143720), 2” Circle Punch (133782), Leaf Punch (144613),  Dimensionals (104430), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755)

Cutting & Scoring:
  • Peekaboo Peach - 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 4 ¼”, scrap to punch
  • Early Espresso – 5  x 3 ¾”, scrap to punch
  • Gold Foil – 2 ½” x 4”
Designer Paper – ¾” x  5”, 1 ½” x 7”

Instructions:
  • Stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso on the scrap of Peekabo Peach and punch out with 2” circle punch. Punch the Starburst from Early Espresso scrap. (or from the center of the Early Espresso panel) Punch a 2 ¼” circle from the Gold Foil. Layer these and adhere together.
  • Using the Leaf Punch, punch 2 Gold Foil and 4 DSP leaves. Adhere to the back of the gold layered circle as shown. Add dimensionals and set aside.
  • Adhere the ¾” strip of DSP to the left side of the Early Espresso panel, approximately  3/8” from left edge. Then adhere this panel to the card front.
  • Adhere the focal point to the center of the card front as shown. (Be sure if you punched the Starburst from the Espresso panel that it is completely covered)
  • Finish inside of card as desired.

In case you did not notice, the two patterns of Painted Autumn DSP are front and back of the same sheet.  (TIP): If you are cutting for multiple cards, cut the 1 1/2" x 7" strip the whole 12" length of the DSP. Cut that strip at 7" leaving 5" strip.  Cut this in half at 3/4" and you have (2) 3/4" x 5" strips to use on card fronts thus getting the most out of your DSP.

I hope you will be inspired by our blog this month. In case you do not have a demonstrator, I would love to earn your sales.  To order, click on the image of what you would like to order.

Stampers Dozen Color Challenge

Hello Stampers!
Welcome to our Stampers Dozen Blog Hop.  This month we have a color challenge. We are to use Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig and Very Vanilla. My inspiration came from having the Painted Harvest set  from a recent class and the background stamp, from designing a Christmas card, laying on my craft table. So...here it is...

I love the ease with which this stamp set makes me look like an artist. I was not going to purchase this set at first glance because I am not much of a sunflower kinda girl.  But WOW, when other colors are used, it no longer resembles a sunflower!

In this close-up photo, you can see that I added a layer of gold foil because both Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide are rather dark colors. I like the shine of the foil and the enamel dots to brighten this card.  And...I hope you did not miss the sentiment 'matching' the background stamp...Heehee.

Now, Click on the Next Blog button to go to Rachel Yurkanin's blog to see what she has in store for us. Or, back to Carol Payne's by clicking on the Previous Blog button.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop - Christmas Catalog Inspiration

Howdy Stampers!
I am so excited about tonight's blog hop! It is the first post for me with products from the NEW Holiday catalog.  I love being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator because I get to order from every new catalog a month in advance.  If you would like to get in on that perk, leave me a comment and I will contact you with information on how to join our South Texas Big Shot group!!
For my card, I am using the new Swirly Snowflakes thinlits as well as the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set that are BUNDLE PRICED so you can save 10% off each item.
The card front is made from two die cut pieces of Real Red and Whisper White card stock. Once I glued the white pieces to the red pieces, I cut the pieces down to precisely 5.5" x 2-1/8" and adhered them to the card front so they met in the center. I covered the seam with a 1/4" strip of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.
The Layering Oval thinlits made adding the sentiment a breeze and it tied the whole card together. I hope you like what I have shown. Now, it is time to head over to Rachel's blog to see what inspiration she has for you. THANK YOU for hopping along with us this month.
