Myths and Magic Lots of Love Box

Howdy Stampers!
James Fierce is in the hospital again for another long isolate stay.  This time, he is getting a couple of match box cars packaged in this knights and dragons box!

This box was made using the Lots of Love Box Framelits Dies, Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Mythis & Magic Specialty Washi Tape.  Remember, in Monday's post, I talked about cutting a whole sheet of the DSP while on a road trip? Well, all those cut out pieces came in VERY handy again!!
To construct this box, I cut out FOUR of the largest thinlit (which actually scores the piece too)
I cut the side tabs off two of those pieces then layed them side by side, every other one so I could glue one tab to the next piece. Hope that makes sense. I did not fold on the first score line on the flap.  I folded on the score line that gave me the biggest tab to fold out over the top of the box.
Once I had the four panels glued out flat and finally folded it to complete the box, it was a box without a bottom! The remedy was to score a 4" square piece of Whisper White card stock at 1/2" on all four sides. Cut the score lines on two opposite sides to make the flaps to fold in to form the mini box. Insert and glue this inside the bottom of the box. Tip: I did this after I was finished decorating.
I am so very impressed with how well this suite coordinates and is SO easy to use!
Below are the supplies needed to complete this project.  Would anyone like to see a video on how to make this project?  Leave me a comment.

Happy Stamping!

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop - Sale-a-brate Take 2

Howdy Stampers!
Have you SEEN the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP)?!? I mean, I am sure you have seen it in the second Saleabration brochure but have you SEEN person...with your own eyes?!?  It is GORGEOUS!  OK...I have said that as 'loud' as I can on here. LOL  Let me show you the card I want to share.

Today I used a 3 1/2" square of this DSP and colored it with my Stampin' Blends. Setting that aside to dry, I used my Old Olive Blends to color the 3/8" Metallic edged ribbon and set aside to dry. Using the A Good Day stamp set, I stamped the 'Just Because' image with Calypso Coral ink and the 'Thank You' sentiment in Old Olive on scrap Whisper White then punched them out with the 1 3/8" scallop circle punch and 3/4" circle punch. After sponging around the Thank You circle, I glued it over the Just Because.  This scallop circle was mounted onto an Old Olive 1 1/2" circle and dimensionaled onto a Copper Foil scallop circle using Layering Circles framelits...3rd smallest.
Back to the DSP that is dry...this was mounted onto a 3 5/8" square of Copper Foil (that may or may not have a scallop circle hole in the middle of it) and finally onto an Old Olive 4" square.
After gluing that square to the Calypso Coral card base, I started from the left and adhered the ribbon with snail and glue dots. The glue dots hold the pleats in the ribbon.
Below you can see an up close and personal shot of the sentiment piece.

ATTENTION!!!!!  This is the FINAL MONTH of Saleabration!!!  You sure do not want to miss getting a package of this wonderful DSP!!  So, place a minimum order of $50 to get yours today!

Hoping for a Magical Day

Howdy Stampers!
The Best Man in my son's wedding has four children. The "baby" of the bunch, James, was diagnosed with cancer last May when he was but 4 years old.  He has been a real trooper and is doing well.  A little over month ago, when he was in the hospital for about a month with no visitors allowed (except mom, dad and siblings) there was little to do but send the guy, who has since turned 5, a card to hopefully brighten his day.  We call him James Fierce because he is such a fighter and is so brave during all his treatments.

Of course Myths and Magic is perfect for this brave boy!
Have you SEEN the Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series  Paper?? Page 36-37 in the Occasions catalog.   It glimmers and shines. It is AWESOME!
I was surprised to find that the thinlits in this bundle do NOT match the Designer Series Paper though.  So, on a long road trip, when it was my daughter's turn to drive, I cut out a sheet of the knights, castles and dragons.  Having done that, this card was a breeze when it came time to make it.

Unfortunately, I do not know the name of this fun fold.  We can call it the "no name fun fold" unless someone can leave me a comment on the actual name of it. LOL!!
Here are the dimensions"

Dapper Denim: 4.25" x 9", scored at 3.5",
Lemon Lime: 3" x 8" scored at 4"
DSP: front left - 3.25" x 4"   right - 1.75" x 4"
Layers: Dapper Denim: 2.75" x 3.75",  Very Vanilla" 2.5" x 3.5"

If you do not have a demonstrator, I would like it if you would order from my on-line store by clicking on any of the icons below.
